Staff Management Goals and Initiatives

The new Public Sector Management & Employment Act 1998 has been introduced to supersede the Employment Equity Act. This has effectively brought into line all Victorian Public Sector organisations to establish a set of employment and conduct principles. Adherence has been identified with the principles.

Promotion of the principles of public sector conduct

* A code of conduct has been issued and made known to all staff.
Redress against unfair or unreasonable treatment
* All staff are aware of the avenue of redress available.
Employment decisions are based on merit
* Selection policies / processes have been documented and are readily accessible to all staff.
Equal employment opportunity and management of diversity
* EEO/MD policies / processes have been documented and are readily available to staff.
